Fuel Relief Fund – Digital Strategy
2019
Collaborating with Fuel Relief Fund’s global directors and volunteers I wanted to create an online experience that thoughtfully represented the aid provided during times of crisis.

Within an agile workflow I took a human-centered approach with my research. Introducing initiatives that would help build trust with potential new donors.

I conducted weekly design and theory presentations with the directors, showcasing user interviews and testing sessions.
BaseKit – Brand & Communication Design Lead
2012 – 2019

Working directly with Marketing, Sales and Product, my unique role in BaseKit is to maintain a successful agile process of attracting new partners through multiple channels.

Lead weekly syncs in our Customer Retention and Conversion Optimisation workstreams.

Ran multiple Design Sprints, including developers and stakeholders within the wider company. Implemented a Growth Driven Design methodology to identify a more agile and data-driven approach to our products.

I am currently leading a disclosed campaign with PayPal.

Lokken – Founder & Creative Director
2018 – 2019
Lokken is a passion project of industrial design, brand creation and marketing.

Learning a different discipline of design was a main motivator behind this project, and after years of working on digital products it was rewarding to hold something physical.

Curated personas in the creation of the brand, and by researching buyers journeys I was able to correctly align the brand with the best fit audience.

Lokken’s First Editions are now sold out.
Throughout my career as a designer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with incredibly talented and passionate people. Striving in a shared goal of creating the best experience possible for our the end-users.

Some of the clients I’ve worked with include: Chelsea Football Club, Amazon, O2, Telefonica, CAPCOM, PayPal and Hulk Hogan’s interesting movement into the hosting industry. Outside of designing I enjoy captaining my local baseball team as we battle relegation – and am currently planning a hike through the Haute Route. Earlier this year I proudly completed the Tour Du Mont Blanc.

SwiftUI
Through various resources I am currently focused on improving my development skills in SwiftUI. The visual abilities of this language has allowed me to ideate in a completely new way. Without relying on design tools like Sketch, I’m able to achieve a real representation of what I’m creating. This has given me a faster route to ensure that the products I’m building are not only usable, but significant.

I also believe a deeper understanding of these languages encourages a better relationship with enigneers across a team.

Practical Empathy by Indi Young

An interesting insight into gathering and comparing humanistic patterns to make better decisions and work better with those around you. While only lightly exploring these ideas, Young’s thoughts on mindfulness are strong and enlightening.
